The December meeting of the Newcastle Coders Group is THIS week and will mark the end of our sixth year. This month John Bristowe, Developer Evangelist at Telerik will be talking about UI development with Kendo UI.

Bringing the Awesome with Kendo UI
Kendo UI is a framework for building HTML UI with modern web standards like HTML5 and CSS3. Based upon a foundation of jQuery, this framework provides you with everything you need for tackling front-end web development challenges of today. In this presentation, you’ll learn about Kendo UI – the motivations behind this framework along with what it is and how it works. You’ll also learn a little about HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
John Bristowe is a former Senior Developer Evangelist with Microsoft Canada and is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. John is an experienced speaker and frequently presents at developer conferences and events. Prior to joining Microsoft, John was a member of the Microsoft Regional Director program and was awarded a Microsoft MVP award for his work in the developer community on technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET, and the Microsoft Web services stack.
