This month Corneliu Tusnea is returning to talk about Parallel Programming in .Net 4.0. Our own Peter Messenger will be talking about developing games and applications for Xbox 360 using XNA. It should be a great night!

With the release of .Net framework 4.0 just around the corner it’s time to start looking at what’s new. The Parallel programming features of .Net have been been beefed up and Corneliu Tusnea will demonstrate some of the new techniques.

Corneliu Tusnea is a Senior Consultant at Readify with more than 10 years experience in Microsoft software development technologies from VC++ and COM to .NET, C# and WCF, with a strong focus on high-performance systems. His experience includes designing and developing time-critical exchange trading systems, and team leading engagements. Corneliu’s blog is at http://www.acorns.com.au/Blog/.

Then Peter Messenger will talk about developing XNA games and applications for Windows and Xbox 360 using visual studio. During his talk he will demonstrate how to put together XNA applications with demonstrations paying particular reference to an application he developed for people with Spinal Injuries.

Peter Messenger is a software enthuisiast concentrating on developing NET web based applications. He has been working as a developer for 15 years and developing NET applications for the last 6 years. He is currently working for Qmastor developing a silverlight interface for their port management software.

For those of you who haven't been before, the Newcastle Coders Group is a great place to learn about the latest technologies in software development. It's also a great place to meet your peers in the local area. Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and colleagues.

If you plan to attend please RSVP so that we can plan for numbers. We order pizza and soft drink on the night. We ask people to contribute $5 if they want some. It’s purely voluntary as you can bring your own food if you prefer.
